Router: – Router is a Networking Device which is used for connect two or more network to each other for make communication possible.

Hardware component of Router:-
 CPU
 RAM
 ROM
 NVRAM
 LOGIC BOARD
 INTERFACE PORT
 SMPS

Types of Interface Port:-
 Serial Port – To Connect Router-Router
 Ethernet/Fast Ethernet – To send rate 1-100/100-1000
 BRI/PRI Port – To ISDN Line
 Console Port – PC – Router and Router – PC
 Power port – To AC Power Supply

Types of Router:-
 Fix – Under 2500 Series
 Modular – External 2600 Series
 MPLS – Multi casting and Security purpose

Types of Router Modes:-
 Router> = Interface / User Modes – To Routing Information
 Router# = Privilege / Administrator Mode – To Trouble Shooting
 Router(config)# Configuration / Globalization Mode – To Add the Commands

Shortcut Keys Commands:-
 Ctrl+N – To Show Next Command
 Ctrl+P – To show Previous Command
 Shift+Ctrl+6 – To Break

Some Basic Commands:-
(1) To change Router Name:-
Router (config) # hostname ABC
(2) To assign password for Privileged Mode:-
Router (config) # enable password 123@abc
Router (config) # enable secrete password 123@abc
(3) To assign password for user Mode:-
Router (config) # line consol 0
Router (config-line) # password 123@abc
Router (config-line) # Service password encryption
Router (config-line) # login
(4) To assign password for Auxiliary Mode:-
